Boards Are Over!

Shawn took his board exam (Step 1) on May 30th - thank God it is FINALLY OVER! It's been an intense 6 weeks and we could not be happier having that behind us. It was an 8 hour test and Shawn feels good about it. He's thankful that it's over and we'll just have to wait until mid-July for his score. I have to say looking back over this past month or so, as much as Shawn had to study, as stressed as we both were and even though it's the hardest thing we've been through together - the whole experience brought us much closer together instead of apart . We really leaned on each other more than ever and honestly have never appreciated each other as much as we do now. Words can't even describe how proud I am of Shawn - all of the time and energy (and some sanity) he put into this test just shows me what an amazing student/husband/man he is. He can do anything he puts his mind to. He stayed so strong and worked so hard throughout the whole process :) I'm just so freakin proud of him.

After the test we celebrated at BJ's with friends in our small group - they were so awesome the whole time. Very understanding of the fact that we fell off the face of the earth in May, but most importantly prayed for us throughout the whole process. We are so thankful for them!
