Baptism

Well, after 7 years of being a Christian, Shawn decided to get baptized! It was such a wonderful experience. When our church does baptisms, they do the scheduled ones first but then leave it open for anyone who would like to be baptized, spur-of-the-moment. That way, if anyone feels called to do so at that moment, they are free to come up and get baptized. And the cool thing is, you can have anyone baptize you - so I got to stand up there with one of our pastor-friends at the church in front of the congregation and watch Shawn make it known that he has died to himself and has given his life to God. One of our med-school friends also got baptized after becoming a Christian only a few weeks ago. It's been wonderful watching God change his life. It was such a great day and reminded us of the incredible things God can do in our lives.
