One of the most important days of our life was this past Thursday. On match day, the entire med school class meets in a room and opens an envelope at noon which tells them where they will be spending the next 3-7 years (depending on the specialty). We opened ours and found out in just one second that our whole lives are going to change...again! We are moving to South Carolina in June and Shawn will do his Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston! We are really excited because the program is a perfect fit for Shawn. The residents are extremely nice, a lot of them are Christians and a lot of them have families. They have similar personalities to Shawn and even play sports together (this makes Shawn very happy). It's also a beautiful city on the beach!! It will definitely be crazy moving to a state I've never even been to with a brand new baby and trying to buy our first house, but no one ever said our lives aren't crazy!
After the Match Day celebration, we went to the Columbus Fish Market and to see Alice & Wonderland on a date :) I had gotten Shawn a gift for match day that he's asked for in the past...little scrubs for Aaron! They are darling!! They are PJ's with snaps, little booties and a surgeon's cap! Cutest outfit EVER!
